The Golden Scoop to Close Its Original Overland Park Shop, Focus on Food Truck

The Golden Scoop

The Golden Scoop, the Overland Park ice cream shop that employs adults with developmental disabilities, will close its original Nall Avenue location on November 1st to focus on its new food truck.

  • Last Call for Cones: The shop at 9540 Nall Ave. served its first scoops in 2021, and you’ve got a few weeks left to stop by. It’s open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 or 9am to 7pm and Sundays from 1-5pm. The shop at 10460 103rd St in Overland Park will remain open. All employees will continue working in the food truck or at the 103rd St. location.

  • Scoops on Wheels: The new truck brings handcrafted ice cream and coffee to offices, schools, weddings, and backyard parties across the metro. Its accessible design lets more Super Scoopers work off-site events. Host-paid bookings start at $600, or you can pay a $350 booking fee and let guests buy their own.
