Led Zeppelin With Strings Attached

Kansas City Symphony

The Kansas City Symphony will be performing the music of Led Zeppelin with an incredible light show on September 22nd.

A Fresh Start

The Fresh Mediterranean Company

In place of the longstanding D’Bronx Pizza, West 39th Street is adding a Lawrence-based restaurant, The Fresh Mediterranean Company.

  • Gassing Up: After starting in a Cenex gas station in Lawrence, Kansas, The Fresh Mediterranean Co is looking to plant roots in Midtown KC as a full-blown fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant similar to Chipotle.

  • Fresh Eats: The Fresh Med Co blew up in Lawrence thanks to its authentic chicken shawarma, falafel, hummus, gyros, and other Middle Eastern fare.

  • Change Can Be Hard: The addition of new restaurants in the West 39th area comes bittersweet as some locals lament the loss of local favorites Blue Koi, D’Bronx Pizza, and Ghengis Khan, all within the last year.

The Fresh Mediterranean Company has some improvements to make to the 3904 Bell St building it’s taking over. No date has been set for the grand opening of the new location, but in the meantime, you can eat at the original location in Lawrence at 1000 W. 23rd St.
