• 🎉 Party Weekend: It’s Big Slick Weekend in KC and the celebrity lineup is bigger than ever! The annual event raises money for Children’s Mercy via a silent auction, celebrity softball game, and party & show at the T-Mobile Center.

• 🖼️ Art in the Village: The Prairie Village Art Show starts tonight at 5 pm and continues all weekend at The Shops of Prairie Village.

• 🎶 Do You Believe: The Music of Cher comes alive on-stage at Starlight Theatre with three more performances of the Tony Award-winning musical The Cher Show.

• 🇮🇹 Porta Tutta La Famiglia: Bring the whole family to Zona Rosa for Festa Italiana this weekend, a celebration of Italian-American traditions and culture.

• 🌮 Three T’s: Legends Field in KCK is hosting the Tacos and Tequila Festival, featuring tacos, tequila, and throwbacks. Musical guests include T-Pain, Ashanti, Chamillionaire, and more!

• 🎨 Meet Me at Zhou B: The Zhou B Art Center is celebrating its grand opening tomorrow with its first annual fundraiser at 1801 E 18th Street.

• 🏃 Runnin’ Up That Hill: Hospital Hill that is! The annual Hospital Hill Run takes place tomorrow at Crown Center, with races beginning at 7 am.

• 🥁 For the Culture: The 7th annual Juneteenth Cultural Parade starts tomorrow at noon in the 18th and Vine Historic Jazz District.

• 🧘‍♂️ Namaste at the K: It’s Yoga Day at Kauffman Stadium on Sunday as the Royals take on the Padres. Stick around after the game for a post-game yoga class on the field!

• 🏰 Magic at the Station: Don’t miss the magic of Disney100: The Exhibition at Union Station this weekend.

Kansas City Named Among World’s Most Sustainable Travel Destinations

We’ve gone green! Kansas City was named on the Travel Green List 2024 by Wanderlust Magazine.

• Green Across the Globe: The Travel Green List recognizes destinations across the globe that offer sustainable travel initiatives. There were over 1,000 entries for 2024, and a panel of nine sustainability & travel experts judged the list.

• Green Around Town: Kansas City was one of 11 locations recognized in the North America and the Caribbean region. KC was praised for the free KC Streetcar, our LEED Gold-certified KCI Airport, and CPKC Stadium.

A New Luxury Cocktail Lounge in Overland Park Opens TODAY!

The area’s newest luxury cocktail lounge is celebrating its grand opening today at 4 pm.

• Swanky Sips: Entity Lounge will serve specialty cocktails, wine, and beer in an upscale setting in the first-floor space in the Apex at CityPlace apartments at 11216 Switzer Road in Overland Park.

• When the Sun Goes Down: By day, the space serves as a coffee shop called Entity Coffee Lounge. But starting at 4 pm each day, the lounge transforms into serving hand-crafted cocktails until midnight.
