Kansas City Is Getting Another Football Team

Kansas City Goats
Good morning, Kansas City! It was announced this week that KC will be the home of a new Arena League football team, the Kansas City Goats.
Arena League: The Arena League, a new version of the Arena Football League, is a rival league starting next season that promises to “push the boundaries of football” with younger athletes and 15-man rosters all played on arena football’s trademark 50-yard field.
The Goats: The KC Goats are one of four teams in the Arena League for next season. The team will be owned by a trio of sports radio’s Steven St. John, Gates BBQ COO George Gates, and former chief, the Nigerian Nightmare, Christian Okoye.
Hitting the Field: The Goats will begin play in June 2024 at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City. Tom Pendergast, who pushed for the construction of the building, was part of a faction called the Goats which is where the inspiration for the name came from.
Pre-sale season tickets are available for Goats games on their website. If you are a business owner and you wish to sponsor the team, you can apply for that here as well.

You can grab a spot on the lawn at any point in the day, but the hours of the actual event are from 4-8 pm. To see highlights of last year’s Lawn Party, check out a video here.
