  • 🎤 Rock Show: Legendary American rock band Blink-182 will perform tonight at 7 pm at the T-Mobile Center with special guests Pierce the Veil and Astronoid. UPDATE: Show has been cancelled due to illness.

  • 🏓 Pickleball Central: Triple Crown PickleCon brings the ultimate pickleball experience to Kansas City this weekend with tournaments, vendors, clinics, and more!

  • 🎧 Concert at the K: The Royals take on in-state rival St. Louis Cardinals tonight at the K, and DJ Diesel (AKA Shaquille O’Neal) will provide an epic post-game concert!

  • 🤣 Funny Mom: Comedian and mother Whitney Cummings brings her Big Baby tour to Uptown Theater on Saturday night at 8 pm.

  • 🏆 MORE Pickleball: The first-ever Major League Pickleball event in Kansas City takes place this Saturday-Monday at Elite Tennis and Wellness in Overland Park and will welcome several of the world’s highest-rated players.

  • 🎡 Spinning Red: Visit the KC Wheel today and tomorrow to support its fundraiser with Special Olympics Kansas and see the wheel lit up red!

  • 🇮🇳 India Fest: The Overland Park Convention Center will host India Fest this Sunday from 11 to 6, showcasing the taste, sounds, and sights of one of the world’s largest countries.

  • 🥞 Who’s Hungry: The Big Biscuit is hosting its first Breakfast-Eating Competition at its Westport location this Sunday at 12:30 pm. Who will be Kansas City’s Joey Chestnut?

  • 🏈 Football SZN: The Chiefs head to Jacksonville on Saturday to take on the Jaguars for the first preseason game at 6 pm.

Swope Park Receives $4.2 Million in Federal Investment

Kansas City Parks and Recreation

Swope Park will receive $4.2 million for improvements from the federal government.

  • Public Improvements: The funds will come as a part of the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership, which will benefit ten local parks across the U.S. Swope Park will aim to improve 215 acres in the northwest area of the park.

  • Not-so-hidden Gem: Swope Park encompasses 1805 acres, making it one of the largest municipal parks in the country. The park features a wide variety of attractions, including the Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium, Starlight Theatre, trails, fishing, golf courses, and more.
