The Primrose in Mission Opens a Neighborhood Corner Store

Common Tiger

The team behind The Primrose in downtown Mission has launched a new concept: a neighborhood corner store two doors down.

  • Stop and Shop: Common Tiger can be found at 5616 Johnson Drive in Mission. It will offer snacks and drinks in a bodega-like concept, which is not commonly found in Kansas City.

  • Top Shelf: The shop will carry various drinks, noodles (cough cough, late-night ramen noodles), SPAM, and other kitchen essentials. You can follow its Instagram page to keep up-to-date on special deals.

Common Tiger will be open Fridays & Saturdays from 6 pm - 12 am.

SprayKC

Art organization SprayKC has created an outdoor art gallery in the West Bottoms entitled Liberty Courtyard.

  • Outdoor Art: SprayKC exists to inspire people through its art, getting its start when it transformed a five-story building on the Country Club Plaza. You can now find art installations all around Kansas City and on billboards throughout the metro.

  • Under the Bridge: The Liberty Courtyard project was in partnership with the Historic West Bottoms Association and MODOT, and created an outdoor gallery space under the I-670 Viaducts.

See pictures of the artwork HERE. Better yet, head down to the bridges to see the work in person!
