The Border Showdown Returns to Lawrence Tomorrow Night

MMTH

For the first time in 21 years, the Kansas Jayhawks host the Missouri Tigers at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium tomorrow (9/11) at 7pm.

  • Border Showdown: Friday’s game is the 122nd playing of the StorageMart Border Showdown, and the first in Lawrence since 2005. The rivalry was renewed last year, when the Tigers beat the Jayhawks 42-31 in Columbia. As of the writing of this newsletter, Missouri is a 5.5-point favorite.

  • Pardon Our Mess: The Jayhawks welcome the Tigers to the newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. While Phase 2 of construction is still underway (expected completion ahead of the 2027 season), the current seating capacity sits at 32,000. Once complete, the stadium will hold 43,000 fans.

Can’t make it to The Booth? The game will be televised on FOX.
