La Fetta Deli Opens In Prairie Village
La Fetta Delicatessen opened the doors to its second location this past week in Prairie Village.
A Taste Of Italy: La Fetta is located at 3945 W. 83rd St. in Corinth Quarter, joining the original location in South OP (14363 Metcalf Ave.). In addition to a huge menu of freshly-made sandwiches, La Fetta offers pasta salad, olive salad, desserts, Italian sodas, and a small selection of grab-and-go items.
Live and Let Live: La Fetta uses freshly baked bread from KC-based Farm to Market Bread Co., along with Boar’s Head meat. We were able to stop by on opening day and tried The Sublime, a spicy sandwich loaded with prosciutto, hot soppressata, burrata, fresh walnut pesto, spicy garlic aioli, sundried tomatoes, and arugula. Paired with a Limonata di Sicilia soda? Perfezione.
La Fetta is open Monday through Saturday, 11am-8pm.

J. Rieger’s Monogram Whiskey Returns for International Sherry Week
J. Rieger & Co. is releasing its 2026 Monogram Whiskey, the distillery’s rarest annual bottle, timed to International Sherry Week, November 2nd-8th.
The Never-Ending Barrel: Monogram is finished in 10 Oloroso sherry casks, each 50 to 100 years old, from the Williams & Humbert bodega in Jerez, Spain. Every year, small portions are drawn from each cask and blended, then the casks are topped off, so this year’s bottle includes whiskey that’s been finishing for 5 to 11 years. Expect dark dried fruit, sweet confection, tobacco, and oak.
Sherry on Top: It all started with Rieger’s Kansas City Whiskey, which revived the pre-Prohibition practice of adding a splash of Oloroso sherry. That led to the partnership with Williams & Humbert. Each year, Master Distiller Nathan Perry, co-founder Ryan Maybee, and a sensory panel sample every cask to build the blend, with the percentages printed right on the bottle.
Bottles are $130 and ship nationwide where permitted by law. Preorder yours HERE.
