KC’s Newest Adventure in BBQ

KC Daily

A new restaurant row is emerging at the 55th block of Troost Ave. Barbacoa, KC’s newest Mexican BBQ restaurant, has joined the ranks of delicious stops such as Tiki Taco, Blackhole Bakery, and High Hopes Ice Cream.

  • Mexican BBQ: It may not be traditional favorites such as burnt ends, but with offerings such as smoked carnitas, smoked turkey and mole, and Mexican brisket, Barbacoa doesn’t mess around when it comes to meats.

  • Drinks: From classic Mexican Mules to Sunday Punch, these Mexican-themed cocktails will have you seriously looking at bumping up that next vacation to Cabo a little sooner.

  • Brunch: After stopping in for Sunday brunch, you won’t be able to tell what was more delightful - the service or the Chilaquiles with chorizo.

Airshare, the preferred provider of private flights for the Chiefs organization and Patrick Mahomes himself, is moving offices to accommodate their rapid growth. Flying out of the Charles B. Wheeler downtown airport, they now occupy the hangar once owned by Sprint.

  • Plenty of space: Airshare’s new headquarters is set to be a spacious 20,000-square-foot office, which is almost twice the size of its current location. The company will occupy a space at Suite 300 of the Aspiria Campus located at 6240 Sprint Parkway, providing ample room for potential growth.

  • Growth: Airshare has become one of the fastest-growing private charter flight organizations in the country growing nearly 33% from 2019 to 2021.

  • Chiefs take flight: Airshare recently gained attention for flying Kansas City Chiefs family members and free agents during the team's Super Bowl run. The company also offers membership-based private jet travel for individuals and businesses.

If you want to feel like a VIP, Airshare has lots of flexible options for the KC’s high rollers looking for a little more legroom than you’ll get flying Spirit.
