Crossroads Hotel Honored With a MICHELIN Key
Crossroads Hotel was honored with a new, prestigious award last week: a MICHELIN Key.
Stars of the Show: Keys are a new award given to the top hotels across the globe, similar to the MICHELIN Star designations given to the globe’s finest restaurants. Hotels can earn one, two, or three (most prestigious) Keys. Crossroads Hotel was given a one-Key designation.
Good Company: Crossroads Hotel was the only hotel in the state of Missouri or Kansas that was awarded with a Key. There are no restaurants in either state awarded with a MICHELIN Star, however it is worth noting that the Kansas City metro is not one of the geographical locations that is even considered for the award.

Kansas City Offers Funding to Small Businesses Affected by Recent Crime
The City of Kansas City is extending a helping hand to small businesses affected by the recent crime spree across the city.
Making Lemonade: Mayor Quinton Lucas announced the Back to Business Fund ordinance last Thursday, which will provide grant funding to small businesses to help make repairs caused by property crimes. The fund is for $325,000 and is pending city council approval.
Support Local Biz: The grant would provide up to $3,000 per business (within KCMO) for the repairs from incidents between 7/1/24 and 7/31/25, as well as up to $5,000 for the installation of security measures. This would come in handy for businesses such as Mildred’s which had two locations broken into over the span of just one week.
