Tomorrow is the Last World Cup Match in Kansas City
The beginning of the World Cup feels like it was just yesterday. 🥹 The final match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ at Kansas City Stadium is tomorrow.
Back Where We Began: Tomorrow’s quarterfinal match features Argentina vs. Switzerland, kicking off at 8pm. Argentina played in the first match in Kansas City back on June 16th, defeating Algeria 3-0. Argentina is one of two teams based in Kansas City that are still alive, alongside England, which takes on Norway tomorrow at 4pm in Miami.
Host With the Most: Kansas City has continued to punch far above its weight, considering KC is the smallest of 16 host cities. During the four group stage matches played here, Kansas City Stadium welcomed 275,079 fans, with an estimated 20-30% traveling internationally for each match.
Ticket prices have been dropping throughout the week, but are still expensive. The get-in price as of the writing of this newsletter is around $1,300.
