Lee’s Summit River Walk

Discovery Park
Happy Thursday, Kansas City! Lee’s Summit broke ground this week on a massive development by Intrinsic Development that will cost close to $1 Billion.
Did You Say Riverwalk?: Discovery Park by Intrinsic Development will take several years to fully develop, but when it’s complete it will feature 2,800 apartments, retail space, restaurants, a river walk, and possibly medical offices.
Business Is King: Included in the first phase are businesses like Yoga6, CoffeeHAUS, Woodfire Pizza and Brews, Body FitTraining, Village Market, and Intrinsic Development’s corporate headquarters.
Location Is Everything: The nearly 650,000-square-foot project will be developed on the north side of I-470 along NW Colbern Road.
Construction on the project is underway with a final projected completion goal of 2031. Phases 2 and 3 are set to begin in 2024, while Phase 1 is expected to be completed by 2026.

KC Does Beer Really, Really Well

KC Daily
Two local breweries landed themselves on a list of the nation’s 20 best beers in 2023.
To The Victors Go The Spoils: BKS Artisan Ales and KC Bier Co both beat out more than 1000 beers in a blind taste test conducted by Craft Beer & Brewing magazine.
A+ Students: The two winning beers were the Pivo Project Bohemian-Style Pilsner by BKS and the Bier Co Light by KC Bier Co. The Pivo Project and Bier Co Light both received scores of 99/100 and 95/100 respectively.
Back To My Roots: Both beers were born out of a love for their European heritage. The Pivo Project Bohemian Style Pilsner was born out of a recent trip to Czechia while the Bier Co Light was meant to take after its German roots as a lighter German Pilsner.
You can visit BKS Artisan Ales 7 days a week in Brookside and KC Bier Co. Tuesday through Sunday in Waldo.
