A New Performance and Event Series is Coming to Downtown Kansas City This Summer
DRAW Architecture
The Downtown Community Improvement District has announced a new performance and event series called Summer in the City.
Let’s Go Downtown: The event will take place twice a month starting tomorrow (May 8th) through September in Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park, a pocket park at 12th and Walnut Streets.
Take a Break: The event will feature live music, yard games, food trucks, local performers, and more. The series takes place on 2nd Wednesdays over lunch (12-1:30 pm) and 4th Thursdays in the evenings (5-6:30 pm)

An Urban-Themed Obstacle Race is Coming to Kansas City
City Challenge Obstacle Race
An extraordinary obstacle racing event is coming to Kansas City. The City Challenge Obstacle Race will take place in Penn Valley Park on June 29th.
Adrenaline Lovers: The City Challenge Obstacle Race is an epic obstacle racing experience for Elite athletes and fun-lovers alike. The course will be approximately 3 miles with 20-25 obstacles.
City of Obstacles: The urban-themed race is designed to be both fun and challenging. Obstacles include wall climbs, cargo nets, rope climbs, monkey bars, and more!
