THUNDERGONG! Returns to the Uptown Theater This Weekend

Steps Of Faith Foundation

THUNDERGONG! returns for its ninth annual benefit concert on Friday, November 8, 2025, at 7:30 pm at the Uptown Theater.

  • Step This Way: The fundraiser is hosted by Kansas City native Jason Sudeikis and supports Steps of Faith Foundation, which provides prosthetic care for amputees in need. Proceeds from the event, merch sales, and raffle support SOF’s mission to restore mobility and possibilities for individuals who cannot afford prosthetic limbs.

  • Live on Stage: Taking the stage alongside Sudeikis are fellow Ted Lasso stars Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard) and Cristo Fernández (Dani Rojas). “Weird Al” Yankovic, Will Forte, and Sam Richardson will also make appearances, along with other live performers throughout the evening.

KC Current to Host Gotham FC for NWSL Quarterfinal This Sunday

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s playoff soccer season! The KC Current will host Gotham FC at CPKC Stadium for the NWSL Quarterfinal this Sunday, November 9th.

  • Top of Table: The Current enter the postseason as the No. 1 seed, and heavy favorites to take the NWSL crown this year. They will welcome No. 8 seed Gotham FC for just the second playoff match in CPKC Stadium history on Saturday morning.

  • Looking Ahead: The Current look to build off a historic regular season, in which they clinched an NWSL playoff birth faster than any team in history, with eight regular-season games remaining. The Current also look to avenge last year’s semi-final loss against the Orlando Pride.

Titanic: An Immersive Voyage Opens This Week at Union Station

Union Station Kansas City presents Titanic: An Immersive Voyage, featuring over 200 priceless artifacts, life-sized recreations, and immersive technology beginning this Saturday, November 8th.

  • Brought to Life: Visitors can walk through lavish staterooms, including the grand staircase, witness the iceberg collision, and experience the final moments seated in a lifeboat. The exhibition showcases authentic artifacts, including first-class china and one of only seven remaining deck chairs, as well as more than 10 iconic photo opportunities.

  • Dive In: An optional virtual reality experience (additional ticket required) offers a submersible dive 2.5 miles below sea level to explore the Titanic wreck site up close. Most guests spend 60-90 minutes exploring, with a downloadable audio guide included in English, Spanish, and French.
