Molzer Development Under Contract on Three Historic West Bottoms Buildings

Molzer Development

Kansas City-based Molzer Development, along with Free Heel Capital, announced they are under contract on three historic buildings in the West Bottoms.

  • Adding to the Portfolio: The three buildings include the Oliver Building, the Quincy Building, and the Shepard Building. The Oliver Building is currently home to The Oliver event space, which Molzer and team will take over operations. Molzer Development previously acquired the Advanced Thresher Co. building in the West Bottoms back in April.

  • History Lives On: Molzer Development has made quite the splash in Kansas City’s historic redevelopment scene in the past few years, bringing the Holtman building back to life in the East Crossroads, as well as the 16-story Aladdin building in downtown Kansas City. The craziest part? Founder and principal Zach Molzer is just 25 years old.

Molzer Development has built a massive following on social media by “building in public”. Follow along with their projects on Instagram or YouTube.

Wacky Wednesday 🤪

The Nelson-Atkins lawn is a giant badminton court.

Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen placed the four giant Shuttlecocks in 1994 so that the museum building itself acts as the “net.”
