A New High-End Cocktail Lounge is Coming to Power & Light

The Cordish Companies and world-renowned, KC-based architect David Manica have unveiled The Residence, a luxury cocktail bar coming to the Power & Light District.

  • Living in Luxury: The Residence will occupy 4,000 square feet at 1380 Main St. The bar will offer a circular foyer with marble floors, a Great Room featuring soaring ceilings, tall windows, and a marble fireplace, a Solarium with lush greenery, and a Private Room featuring a European-style bar.

  • Down to the Design: Manica is no stranger to designing beautiful spaces. His firm’s portfolio includes the upcoming Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, the Oklahoma City Arena (future home of the Thunder), as well as other Kansas City-area bars like The Monarch Bar, The Mercury Room, and Verdigris.

A New Coffee Shop is Coming to NKC This Summer

Provis Coffee

Provis Coffee is set to open this summer at 2914 Buchanan St. in North Kansas City's Blume NKC development.

  • Story of Coffee: While the exterior of the building is complete, the interior of the Charles Dickens-inspired shop is currently under construction. The team will offer a space and coffee focused on four core values: craftsmanship, hospitality, beauty, and stories.

  • Roasting Now: Although the shop is not yet open, Provis Coffee is currently roasting and shipping coffees. The offer three types of coffee: blends, single origin, and their Reserve series. You can sign up for their coffee subscriptions, allowing you to save up to 25% on every order.
