V Excited: V is a "fast fine" dining experience built on Michelin-starred chef Stefano Ciotti's authentic Italian cuisine: house-made pastas, antipasti, sourdough pizza, and tableside cannoli service with sparklers. The contemporary space will feature an open kitchen and an extensive bar program with handcrafted cocktails, spritzes, and Italian aperitifs.

Plaza Eats: Cocina 47 is a three-story luxury development from Drake Development featuring 20-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Plaza and 47th Street. Negotiations are happening now for second- and third-floor tenants.

A Night for the Pets: The night’s theme is Old Hollywood, and the dress code is black tie optional and “timeless sophistication from the 1920's.” VIP access begins at 6pm, ballroom opens at 6:30pm, dinner and program start at 7:30pm, followed by the Heartbeat Soirée at 9pm. The night celebrates remarkable stories of resilience, hope, and the human-animal bond that defines KC Pet Project's work.

Why It Matters: As Kansas City's only open-admission municipal shelter, KC Pet Project cares for more than 16,000 pets each year, reuniting lost pets, facilitating adoptions, and providing critical community resources for families and animals alike.

Softly Sauced: Sauced is celebrating its soft opening today (July 21st), starting at 11am. It previously operated at 1881 Main St., before closing in October of 2025. Sauced is a part of UHUNGRY? hospitality group, which also includes Triune in the Westside neighborhood.

Smashed & Simple: The menu at Sauced. is pretty simple: single or double smashburgers (with a few variations like the K.C. Loaded or Portobello), chicken sandwiches, wings, fries, and a mixed salad.
