Prairie Village Named Top 10 Hottest Neighborhood in 2025 by Redfin

Is Prairie Village a perfect village? The Kansas City suburb was named among Redfin’s Hottest Neighborhoods in 2025.

• Perfect Village: Prairie Village (and parts of Mission Hills) came in ranked at #8 on this year’s list. According to Redfin, the median sales price in the zip code 66208 was $476,500, and the share of homes that sold above list price was 44%.

• Midwest is Best: A common trend in this year’s list: midwestern suburbs. Five out of the top ten neighborhoods were suburbs in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Minnesota. For those curious, Prospect Heights, NY (near Brooklyn) ranked #1.

Chiefs to Play Games on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day in 2025

This year’s holiday plans just got a little busier. The Chiefs will play games on both Thanksgiving AND Christmas Day this year!

• Turkey Bowl: The Chiefs will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys on Thursday, November 27th at 3:30pm. Fun Fact: this will be Patrick Mahomes’ first time in his career to start a game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

• Not-So Silent Night: The Chiefs will welcome the Denver Broncos to Arrowhead on Thursday, December 25th for a 7:15pm kickoff. If we know anything about late December games in KC, it’s gonna be cold.

Two New Pickleball Leagues Start in KC This Summer

Pickleball continues to be the fastest-growing sport in America, and two new leagues are coming to both sides of the State Line this summer.

• Overland Park: Silly Pickles, the “world’s funnest pickleball league”, will kick off on June 1st at Chicken N Pickle in Overland Park. Matches will be played from 7-9pm on Sunday nights, and players will get one hour of court time per night.

• Parkville: Honcho Pickleball is a premier amateur pickleball league played across 24 states. The league starts on June 9th at Char Bar in Parkville, and offers three DUPR levels of play on Monday nights.
