Penny’s in the Village is Officially Open in Prairie Village
The long-awaited Penny’s in the Village is officially open at 4160 W. 71st St. in Prairie Village.
Three for Penny: Penny’s in the Village is owned and operated by Penny and Douglas Mufuka, who also operate Bamboo Penny’s and Aqua Penny’s in Leawood. Their newest concept takes over the former Gravity space in The Shops of Prairie Village.
Tasty Thai: The menu at Penny’s in the Village will offer elevated Thai dishes, similar to Bamboo Penny’s. Options include fried rice & noodles, Thai curry and stir fry, Thai street foods, and Penny’s specialties.
Penny’s in the Village is open M-F from 11-9 pm (until 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday).

Chiefs To Launch a Comedy Series Ahead of the Playoffs
The NFL Playoffs are no laughing matter. Unless you’re laughing at “The Magic Number”, a comedy series launched by the Kansas City Chiefs!
Pregame Giggles: The series will follow a group of friends hoping to bring the Chiefs some good luck ahead of the playoffs. Chiefs President Mark Donavon said “The Magic Number” will “celebrate the passion, camaraderie, friendship, and joy that our fans bring year after year.”
From Field to Screen: The series will feature Pete Holmes, Holly Robinson Peete, Christopher Meloni, and Kansas City native David Koechner. The series will be voiced by fellow KC native Jason Sudeikis and will be a multi-part series.
The series will premier today at 3 pm. Watch it on the Chiefs’ YouTube channel.

✌️ Macy’s Out: Macy’s in Metro North Crossing (400 NW Barry Road) will close at the end of March, leaving only two Macy’s locations in the metro at Town Center Crossing in Leawood and Oak Park Mall in Overland Park.
💪 Lineman Strength: Chiefs offensive linemen Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith put their strength to work on Sunday by pushing a stuck car out of the snow.
💧 River Restoration: Since 2018, volunteers with the Friends of the Kaw have removed 30 tons of vehicle batteries from the Kansas River. The group hopes to clear all remaining trash out of the river by 2030.
