Jade Jaguar to Open in the Crossroads This Fall
A Mexico City-inspired cocktail bar will open in the place of Bar Medici this fall in the Crossroads.
Cocktails Out, Cocktails In: Jade Jaguar has operated as a pop-up concept under the direction of Manny Gomez for the past year, but will now open a brick-and-mortar space in the Crossroads. Gomez has now partnered with Seth Goldwasser, the former bar Manager at Town Company, and Exit Strategy, the group behind Mercury Room and Verdigris, to bring Jade Jaguar to life.
Made for Jade: Bar Medici opened in early 2024 at 1800 Walnut St. Suite 100 with Florence-inspired design. The space will now be redesigned into a bright and vibrant space, with nods to Mexico City’s culture. Guests can expect elevated cocktails, Mexican-style small bites, space for a DJ & live music, and more.
Jade Jaguar is expected to be open my Mid-October. Learn more from the Kansas City Magazine HERE.

Chiefs Return to Arrowhead With Super Bowl LIX Rematch
The Chiefs return to GEHA Field at Arrowhead for the 2025 season this Sunday for a Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles at 3:25pm.
Moving On: The Chiefs will gladly return to Arrowhead for home field advantage, where they went 8-0 in 2024. The Eagles visit the Red Kingdom following a week 1 win against the Dallas Cowboys, while the Chiefs lost their opener in São Paulo, Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Avoiding History: Fun fact: the Chiefs have never last three straight games since Patrick Mahomes took over as the starting QB in 2018. The team will try and avoid this feat on Sunday, following the season-opening loss last Friday, and the Super Bowl LIX loss in February against the Eagles.
Good news! Tickets to see the Chiefs vs. Eagles this weekend are much cheaper than they were last February. 😉 Get them here.
