Anjin Named Among Best New Restaurants in 2026 by Bon Appétit
The awards just keep coming for Anjin! The Crossroads izakaya was named one of Bon Appétit's 2026 Best New Restaurants.
Best in the U.S.: Anjin was one of 19 restaurants from across the U.S. to be honored this year, earning high praise for its Japanese-inspired dishes from Chef Nick Goellner, sake pairings from Drew Little, and an inviting atmosphere from the staff. Anjin was previously named a finalist for Best New Restaurant in the 2026 James Beard Awards.
Small, But Mighty: The 20-seat restaurant was opened in 2025 by Nick and Leslie Goellner, the duo behind Antler Room. The menu at Anjin features favorites like the Farmer Greens Salad, Corn & Crab Okonomiyaki, and the Fried Chicken Sando. Pro tip: end your meal with soft serve.

Give the Office Party an Upgrade 🎉
If your holiday party plans are still sitting on the to-do list, consider this your sign. Argyle Events is booking end-of-year celebrations at two of Kansas City’s most memorable venues.
Take Your Pick: Trade the typical ballroom for the energy of Sporting Park, with unique club spaces, stadium views and plenty of room to celebrate. Or take the party downtown at Three Points, a private rooftop in the Power & Light District featuring skyline views, firepits and an indoor/outdoor atmosphere.
Party Season: Add seasonal menus, festive enhancements, and a team to help bring it all together, and your annual company party might just become the event everyone actually looks forward to.
December calendars fill quickly — start planning your holiday party today!

Explore Downtown Living at the Fall Tour of Homes: Live Brilliantly
Downtown Kansas City's most connected neighborhood opens its doors for the second annual Fall Tour of Homes: Live Brilliantly — one afternoon, four residences, and a firsthand look at life in the Power & Light District.
Downtown Dreams: Check in at PNC Plaza, in the heart of the Power & Light District, to receive your map and digital guide to the event. From there, explore One Light, Two Light, Three Light, and Midland Lofts at your own pace. Ride between buildings by shuttle bus, or set out on foot. At each stop, step into furnished residences, meet the teams behind each community, and enhance your experience with live music, local artists, and food and cocktails from District favorites.
Tour with Benefits: Complete your Passport to Luxury with a stamp at all four communities and enter to win the grand prize: a weekend stay at Three Light, T-Mobile Center tickets, and more. Whether you're finding your next home or helping a client find theirs, it's the most efficient way to see how downtown lives — steps from the Lights and Midland Lofts, with all that the Power & Light District offers just outside the door!
