Meddy’s Across The Metro

KC Daily
Meddy’s, the popular fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant, is expanding to 3 new locations after the massive success of their first restaurant in the metro at 83rd and Mission in Prairie Village.
More Meddy’s: Meddy’s, a Mediterranean restaurant chain based in Wichita, is expanding its presence across the metro in Brookside, Lenexa, and Liberty.
Mediterranean Hype: The expansion has come rather quickly due to the sheer volume of customers that have visited the Prairie Village location. “Prairie Village is by far our highest volume store,” said Meddy’s owner Alex Harb.
KC Investment: With the initial expansion into the KC metro coming to fruition, Meddy’s is pumping in over $5M just for the stores in the locations listed above.
Harb thinks that the KC metro could someday sustain up to 10 Meddy’s locations starting with more locations in Johnson County.

The Golden Shovel: The Golden Shovel is an award given by Area Development Magazine that recognizes states for their economic development. Kansas was named the leading state for development in its size of 2 to 4 million people.
Driven By EV: A large part of what set Kansas apart was the recent $4B investment from Panasonic to create semiconductors in De Soto. The move is part of an effort to produce more electric vehicles in the US.
KC Fuelling Tesla: The Panasonic plant is on schedule to be completed by 2025 where it appears it will be one of the leading chip producers for Tesla, the leading car company in the EV space.
Several other KC area companies were contributing factors in the win such as Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling and Clorox Co. in Olathe.
