Big Grove Brewery & Taproom Opens This Week in Prairie Village

KC Daily

Big Grove Brewery & Taproom is opening its doors this week in The Shops of Prairie Village.

  • Headed South: The Iowa-based brewery will open its first KC metro location at 7060 Mission Road, at the former Macy’s site. The 12,000-square-foot space features an expansive dining room, on-site brewing operations visible through a glass wall, dart lanes, event spaces, and a family-friendly outdoor patio featuring a play area, yard games, and plenty of TVs.

  • Dinner & Drinks: Big Grove offers its extensive list of beers & beverages on tap, including its award-winning Eddy series. The chef-driven food menu offers appetizers, wings, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, and more. We were able to get a sneak peek inside this past weekend, and our favorites were the Pork Spring Rolls, Korean BBQ wings, the Fried Chicken Sandwich, and washing it down with a Lupo (Italian-style Pilsner).

Big Grove opens its doors to the public today (5/19) at 11am, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for Thursday, May 21. The first 300 guests on Thursday will receive a limited-edition Big Grove Prairie Village frosted glass, and one lucky winner will walk away with “Beer for a Year”! Tell ‘em you saw it in KC Daily. 😉
