A Historic Church-Turned Luxury Event Space Opens in Midtown

Melrose Abbey

Melrose Abbey, a historic church turned luxury event space, is now open in midtown Kansas City.

  • Power Couple: Husband and wife Johnny and Abby Youssef purchased the historic church at 3931 Washington St. in 2022 and immediately went to work to transform the space. After 2+ years of hard work, Melrose Abbey celebrated its grand opening this past weekend.

  • Beauty All Around: The Youssef’s transformed every inch of the building into a one-of-a-kind event space: The ceremony space, reception space, lobby, bridal/groom suite, and kitchen. Take a look at the elegant space by checking out their first styled shoot!
