KC Streetcar Extension Reaches Major Milestone

KC Streetcar

On Monday, officials celebrated the completion of track construction on the KC Streetcar Main Street extension.

  • Midtown Milestone: As of Monday, all 36,785 feet of track have been laid for the Main Street extension. The route connects the current final southern stop at Pershing and Main to the planned final stop at 51st and Brookside near UMKC. Testing the trains and training new staff is up next before the Streetcar will open for passengers.

  • Next Stop: The work doesn’t stop there! The Riverfront Extension construction is continuing to connect the current northern stop at 3rd and Grand to the Berkley Riverfront. The Kansas City Streetcar Authority is also seeking proposals to conduct a NorthRail Extension Study, which would extend the streetcar north of the Missouri River.

The KC Streetcar Main Street extension is expected to have passengers on board by the second half of 2025.

Potential AFC Divisional Round Tickets Go On Sale TODAY!

GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium

Isn’t it great having a football team so good that we can talk playoffs on December 4th?

  • Fingers Crossed: Single-game tickets for a possible AFC Divisional Round home game go on sale today at 11 am. Tickets for a potential home AFC Wild Card game are already on sale, but (knock on wood) we’re hopeful the Chiefs will bypass this first round of the playoffs.

  • Ticket Masters: The Chiefs currently hold the #1 seed in the AFC, and if that continues, they will have a home Divisional Round game. Jackson County taxpayers will have a presale opportunity to purchase tickets this morning from 8-9:30.

Tickets to the potential home Divisional Round game can be found HERE.
