⛲️ Midtown Mulligans

Neighborhood Clubhouse: Midtown Golf Club is located at 3612 Karnes Blvd inside Grocer’s Warehouse. Designed as a neighborhood clubhouse, the space includes three simulator bays, a lounge area, a kitchenette, and a small co-working space. Membership is capped to ensure consistent access to bays for members. Members can also purchase guest passes to bring friends into the space. In time, the club plans to host league nights, tournaments, and member events.

Members Only: Founding Annual Memberships are $1,800 per year ($150/month) and include five complimentary guest passes, founding-member recognition, and priority locker access. Quarterly memberships are $540 per quarter ($180/month). Monthly memberships are available for $200 per month with month-to-month flexibility.

Husker Pies: Valentino’s will open its first metro location at 8909 W. 135th St. in Overland Park, replacing the former Fajita Pete’s. Valentino’s boasts 35 locations in the state of Nebraska, as well as one in Sioux Falls, SD. Fun fact: it is the official pizza of the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Pizza My Heart: Valentino’s will offer a full menu of pizza, pasta, salads, wings, desserts, and more for carryout, delivery, catering, and express lunch. Valentino’s may be best known for its Val’s Original Special, which features hamburger, ground Italian sausage, pepperoni, honey-cured ham, and fresh mushrooms.

🛠️ Pardon Our Mess: The Nelson-Atkins Museum will soon begin a “complete building refresh” on the Bloch Building thanks to a $20 million grant from the Marion and Henry Bloch Family Foundation.

🥪 Spicy Sandwich: Kansas City-based sandwich shop Goodcents partnered with flavor company Spiceology to develop a Honey Habenero bread, which will be available at all locations through March.

⛲️ Fountain Talk: KCMO Mayor Quinton Lucas will deliver the 2026 State of the City address at noon on February 11th from City Hall. Residents can attend in person or stream the event live via the KCMO YouTube channel.

🦺 Safety Ain’t Free: Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe is requesting $63.2 million for enhanced safety measures during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Kansas City.

👮 Fashion Police: The Kansas City Police Department revealed new uniforms this week, replacing the French blue shirts and dark trousers worn since 1984. The uniforms will also feature a new shoulder patch.
