A Decommissioned Cold War-era Missile Silo is on the Market in Central Kansas
Have you ever wanted to own a decommissioned Cold War-era missile silo? Haven’t we all.
Home Sweet Underground: KCTV5 recently took a tour of a 8.5-acre property in Lincoln, KS, which is roughly three hours west of Kansas City. The property, which is currently listed for $1.3 million, would take an estimated $190 million in today’s dollars to rebuild. Tours require potential buyers to sign a waiver and enter at their own risk.
Own History: The property, dubbed the Rolling Hills Missile Silo, has a rich history. The silo was built in the early 1960s 200 feet underground with the ability to withstand a nuclear blast. In addition to the underground fortress, the property also offers two above-ground concrete pads, two metal storage buildings, and great views of the rolling hills of central Kansas.
This property is located at 1441 N 260th Rd in Lincoln, KS. See the Zillow Listing HERE.
