Independence to Host a Watch Party for Chiefs Hallmark Movie Premier

We are (unofficially) announcing that the 2024 holiday season begins on Saturday, November 30th, with a “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” premier watch party!

  • Christmas on the Square: The watch party will take place at the Pharaoh 4 Cinema on Independence Square, a major filming location for the upcoming Hallmark film. Doors open at 6 pm, with the showing of the movie set for 7 pm.

  • Holiday Premier: The event is expected to last until 10 pm and include a special behind-the-scenes look at the film's location. There will also be holiday-themed festivities for the whole family!

GA tickets for the watch party are $25, and VIP tickets are $100. Get them HERE.

  • Hello Darkness: Dark Forest is put on in partnership with Quixotic and offers an immersive and multimedia walk-through experience in the woods of Powell Gardens. The terrifying and enthralling journey features live dance performances, captivating music, and creative technology.

  • See You in the Woods: Dark Forest begins this weekend, 10/18-10/19, as well as 10/24-10/26, 10/31, and 11/1-11/2. Experiences begin after dark (7 pm), with the last entry occurring at 10 pm. While not a haunted attraction, Dark Forest is meant to be a creepy immersive walk.

Playoff Soccer is Coming to CPKC Stadium!

Kansas City Current

After a 1-0 victory over Bay FC this past Saturday, the Kansas City Current secured a home playoff match!

  • Welcome Home: The win secured a top-4 finish in the NWSL, meaning the Current will host the club’s first-ever home playoff match at CPKC Stadium. The team has two more regular season matches and currently boasts a record of 14-3-7.

  • Lofty Goals: The win was historic not only for the playoff implications but also for Temwa Chawinga. The Current Forward broke the NWSL single-season goal-scoring record, netting her 19th goal of the year!

The NWSL playoffs begin on Friday, November 8th. Season ticket members will be able to purchase playoff tickets this week.
