Boulevard + Royals Send Can of Beer Into Space

Boulevard Brewing Co.

This next story is out of this world (literally). The Kansas City Royals and Boulevard Brewing Co. teamed up to send a can of beer to space.

  • Cheers to Outer Space: The two teamed up with English agency Sent Into Space to launch a can of Space Camper Cosmic IPA and a Royals baseball to outer space from the field at Kauffman Stadium. The precious cargo encountered temps as low as -158°F, nearly zero air pressure, and re-entry speeds of hundreds of miles per hour before landing in Carrollton, MO later that day.

  • Drink for Science: The launch marked the Royals’ and Boulevard’s support of STEM initiatives. Mark your calendars for this Friday, June 27th, when these initiatives will be celebrated at Space Camper Day at the K, where the first 10,000 fans (21+) will receive a glow-in-the-dark Space Camper x Royals koozie.

See the full video of the journey from Sent Into Space and get your tickets to Space Camper Day at the K HERE.
