Oak Street to Stay Open in Crossroads

Google Maps
After a meeting with Mayor Quinton Lucas, Royals owner John Sherman stated that the stadium footprint would be revised to leave Oak Street open.
We’re Listening: In addition to conversations with Mayor Lucas, Sherman’s commitment comes after a plethora of community feedback. Sherman acknowledged that Oak Street is an “integral part” of downtown.
Status Unknown: Oak Street lies just east of the current KC Star building, where the proposed new stadium would sit. There is still uncertainty about what will happen to the existing businesses that call Oak Street home, including the highly anticipated Green Dirt on Oak.
Watch Sherman’s comments on the revised project here.
