Vietnam Café Opens in Overland Park

Vietnam Cafe

Vietnam Café, one of Kansas City’s favorite authentic Vietnamese restaurants, recently opened a second metro location in Overland Park.

JOCO Pho: Vietnam Café opened its doors on June 13th at 9500 W 135th St. in Overland Park. The original location in Columbus Park has been operating since 2001, and continues to serve the same authentic dishes using original recipes.
Taste of Vietnam: The menu features 100+ dishes and bowls, including appetizers, Pho, buns, cafe specials, and more. Vietnam Café holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first place I ever tried Pho in 2016!

Vietnam Café is open Wednesday through Monday, 10am-8pm (6pm on Sundays).

Ad Astra Pool Opens in Lenexa After $8M Upgrade

Ad Astra Pool in Lenexa reopened on July 4th, featuring a brand-new zero-depth entry area, updated bathhouse, and a full concession stand.

What’s New: The $8M rebuild features a large zero-depth entry area with shade, underwater bench seating, three 25-yard lap lanes, a deep water area with two diving boards, a 180-foot current channel, and large shade areas throughout. A new bathhouse and concession building round out the facility.
Swimmin’ In: Admission is $7 for Lenexa residents and $10 for nonresidents; seniors are $4 (residents) and $6 (nonresidents). Children 2 and under are free. Planned closures, lap swim hours, and regular hours can be found HERE.
