The Overland Park Farmers Market Opens This Weekend

Overland Park Farmers Market

The Overland Park Farmers Market officially kicks off the 2026 season this Saturday, April 18th.

  • Pardon Our Mess: The market will temporarily be held at the Matt Ross Community Center, as the finishing touches are being put on the Clock Tower Landing project in downtown OP. The first-ever market at this new location is scheduled for June 6th. As of yesterday, 110 vendors have been secured for this season’s market.

  • Build or Renovate: Once work is complete on Clock Tower Landing, the market will become a year-round market. The regular farmers market will run through November 21st, followed by a Holiday Farmers Market from December 5-19, and a Winter Farmers Market from January 9 to March 27.

The OP Farmers Market is open from 7:30am until 1pm this Saturday at 7950 Marty St.

Sporting KC Announces “Soccer Capital Summer”

Sporting Kansas City is turning Sporting Park into a soccer hub with its new “Soccer Capital Summer” event series this summer.

  • Stadium Hangs: The 10-day event hosted by Argyle Events by Sporting KC will feature free watch parties for more than 20 matches, including group stage games and the FIFA World Cup™ Final. Fans can expect big screens, live music, food vendors, and interactive experiences throughout the plaza and stadium.

  • Summer of Soccer: Key dates span from June 17 through July 19, with marquee matchups featuring global stars drawing the biggest crowds. Capacity is limited, so advance registration is required, with optional premium upgrades available.

GA tickets for Group Stage, Round of 32, and Round of 16 will be available to reserve starting April 20th. All the details can be found HERE.
