Kansas City’s First 4DX Movie Theater is Now Open

Buckle up Kansas City, movies are about to get a lot more intense. Kansas City’s first 4DX theater is now open at AMC Barrywoods 24.
4 the Senses: The format combines motion-based seating with more than 21 environmental effects including wind, water, snow, vibration, scent, and more — all synchronized to the action on-screen. Each 4DX film is arranged by specialized editors to align the motion and effects with a film's pacing, designed to amplify the experience without changing the filmmaker's original vision.
Grand Premier: This is just the second 4DX location in the entire country, the other being located in the Houston area. Upcoming 4DX titles include “Project Hail Mary”, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie”, and “Toy Story 5”.

One week from today, Kansas Citians will be gathering in restaurants across Brookside for our third-ever KC Daily Dinner Club on Thursday, March 26th!
Here’s how it works:
Take a 15-question personality quiz
Get matched with 5 compatible people
You’ll get a text the morning of revealing your restaurant
You show up, meet new friends, and enjoy a great meal
At approximately 7pm, a text will be sent out revealing an optional afterparty location for all groups to meet up
Can’t make it this month? No problem! We host these dinners monthly in different neighborhoods throughout the KC metro. You can get on the waitlist to stay in-the-know of future Dinner Clubs.

☕️ Coffee, All Day: Pitchside Coffee, the Crossroads shop founded by KC Current players, announced it will now be open every day, 7am-3pm.
🚲 Bike On Over: A new bicycle shop called Bells & Whistles Bicycle Repair will open this spring at 7140 W. 80th St. in downtown Overland Park.
🚧 Road Diet: Construction is underway to reduce a portion of Southwest Boulevard in the Crossroads from four lanes to two lanes. The section spans Broadway Blvd to Grand Ave and 19th St.
🎉 New Home: According to the KC Pet Project, Rieger, the dog that fell onto the roof of J. Rieger & Co. last week, was adopted on Tuesday!
🏟️ State of the Stadium: The Kansas House passed a bill to create a state-run sports authority for the upcoming Chiefs stadium project.
🌺 Blooming in Shawnee: Family-owned Thai Orchid is opening a new location this October at 5907 Nieman Road in Shawnee. The Mission location will close when the new spot opens.
