NLBM Reveals Renderings of New Campus

Multistudio

Last week, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum unveiled new renderings of its $35 million expansion.

  • Past, Meet Future: The expansion is a part of the NLBM’s Pitch for the Future campaign, which will incorporate the return of the Paseo YMCA, which is where the Negro Leagues were made official in 1920. The museum will serve as the anchor of the 18th and Vine District, which is currently undergoing a $400m+ revitalization.

  • Coming Soon: The Paseo YMCA will become the Buck O’Neil Center, named after the Kansas City Monarchs legend and the first African American coach in the MLB. The district will also include a Marriott Tribute Hotel, an expansion of the museum to 40,000+ square feet, and a 500-stall parking garage.
