Happy Playoff Red Friday!
Welcome to the first (hopefully of three) Playoff Red Fridays in 2025! The Chiefs welcome the Houston Texans to Arrowhead on Saturday at 3:30 for the AFC Divisional Round. Here are three things you need to know before kickoff:
The Chiefs are heavy favorites
As of the writing of this newsletter, the Chiefs are favored by 8.5 points. Although our boys are 15-2 on the season, they are only 8-9 against the spread this year. TLDR: The Chiefs will win, but it could be closer than you think.
Dustin Colquitt will be the drum honoree
The former Chiefs punter spent 15 seasons with the team and holds the franchise record for most games played. He’ll bang the drum and get the crowd rocking and rolling!
The Texans may be cursed
The Texans are the only franchise in the NFL to have never won a road playoff game. In fact, they’ve never advanced to an AFC Championship game!
If you’re looking for more in-depth coverage of the Chiefs this postseason, check out our friends at KC Football Fix. They know a lot more about the Chiefs than we do. 🤷♂️
