The Sale Price of the Country Club Plaza Revealed

KC Daily

We finally know just how much HP Village Management paid for the Country Club Plaza on June 28th.

  • Plaza on Clearance: The Plaza sold for $175.6 million, confirmed by a report from the previous owner, The Macerich Co. This may seem like a hefty sum until you realize that Macerich paid $660 million in 2016.

  • Good Business: With the sale in the rearview mirror, HP Village Management shared that they plan to invest over $100 million into the Plaza area. Plans include housing, restaurants, infrastructure, and recruiting luxury retailers similar to those found in Dallasā€™ Highland Park Village.

Weā€™ll ask the question that our friend Kyle Talbot (@moving_to_kc) first asked: Did HP Village Management FLEECE the former owners in the purchase of the Country Club Plaza?

Give a Pint, Get a Pint with the Community Blood Center

Helix Architecture + Design

The Community Blood Centerā€™s ā€œPint for a Pintā€ campaign kicked off yesterday and goes through September 10th.

  • Give a Pint: August is a historically challenging time for blood supply with families on vacation and schools not in session. The ā€œPint for a Pintā€ campaign looks to change that by incentivizing the Kansas City community to give blood!

  • Get a Pint: When you donate blood now through Sept. 10th, you will receive a voucher to redeem a free or discounted beverage or ice cream treat from one of 20+ participating locations.
