Happy Wednesday, Kansas City! A plant-based meal delivery program is opening its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Leawood’s Town Center.

• How I Built This: The plant-based meal delivery program, Whole Harvest, is taking the plunge and opening its first location called Whole Harvest Kitchen restaurant.

• Big Fish, Small Pond: Whole Harvest, which has offices in North Kansas City and Denver, chose to open its first location because of the lack of plant-based food options in KC.

• The Menu: The menu will consist of all plant-based foods that are made to be delicious like pizza, wraps, sandwiches, salads, and dumplings as well as zero-proof cocktails.

No official date has been set, but restaurant-goers can expect a grand opening in December. The restaurant will operate 7 days a week from 11 am to 10 pm.

What Is Fowling?

If you’re into bowling with a bit of a spin, may we introduce you to the Fowling Warehouse Kansas City!

• Quick Tutorial: Fowling which rhymes with bowling, is an activity that mixes football and bowling. Players will be able to take aim with the football at a set of 10 pins set up down a fowling lane. If a player knocks down the middle pin in the first throw, that team immediately wins the game.

• Right Off The Highway: The Fowling Warehouse Kansas City will offer several fowling lanes and a bar just off I-435 and State Line Road.

• Did You Say Free?: The Fowling Warehouse opens this weekend and will offer free open play all weekend to introduce Kansas City to the sport.

The Fowling Warehouse Kansas City is located at 1020 West 103rd Street. The entertainment location is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4-10, Fridays from 2-10, Saturdays from 11-11, and Sundays from 12-6.
