Reservations Open TODAY for 1587 Prime

Ladies and gentelmen, we’re in the redzone for the grand opening of 1587 Prime, with reservations opening today for the highly anticipated steakhouse.

  • Grand Opening Reveal: A video released yesterday featuring Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce announced that 1587 Prime would officially open on Wednesday, September 17th, which also happens to be Mahomes’ 30th birthday. The Chiefs duo + restaurant partners expressed that “something special” was coming to Kansas City and that “this city’s gonna love it”.

  • Touchdown Dining: 1587 Prime will be located at 1500 Baltimore Ave., spanning two floors inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel. The restaurant will feature luxury finishes, “multi-sensory dining aspects”, and subtle nods to Mahomes’ and Kelce’s careers. And before you ask: no, we don’t know the prices yet.

An exciting celebration of art, community and creativity is returning to Crown Center Square! Hallmarket is back on September 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Artists at Work: This free, one-day event offers a rare glimpse into the artistic passions of Hallmark employees and retirees. Outside of their day jobs, these talented individuals pursue a wide range of creative endeavors from painting and pottery to jewelry, textiles, and more. At Hallmarket, you’ll have the chance to meet the artists, explore their work, and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces to take home.

  • Art & More: But Hallmarket is more than just an art fair. It’s a full-day experience filled with live music, local food, and activities for all ages. 

    Best of all? Admission is free. So, come experience the heart and soul of Hallmark through the eyes of the artists who help shape its magic.

Johnson County Old Settlers Festival Returns to Downtown Olathe

Johnson County Old Settlers

The Johnson County Old Settlers Festival returns to downtown Olathe September 4-6, 2025, marking its 127th year as one of the community’s most cherished traditions.

  • Settle In: First held in 1898, Old Settlers festivals celebrate Johnson County’s heritage with a mix of history, community spirit, and family fun. Generations of residents have enjoyed its time-honored events inlcuding one of the largest parades in the state of Kansas, a car show, flower show, ice cream social, and Sweet Six Competition.

  • Festival Fun: This year’s three-day festival will feature over 150 vendors, 15+ nonprofit-run food booths, and classic eats like funnel cakes, turkey legs, and the iconic Grange Pup, a local favorite sold by the thousands. Free live music will also highlight the weekend, including Arena Rock Giants on Friday and Creed Fisher on Saturday.
