Why Campaign for Politicians When You Can Campaign For KC Daily?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve noticed it’s election season. As much as we love the endless amount of commercials, flyers, text messages, and road median political signs, we’re approaching election season a little differently.

  • Our Promise: This newsletter will never have any political coverage. Not saying elections aren’t important, but there are (literally) endless other sources for you to take in political news. In the 3.5+ years of KC Daily newsletters, we’ve sent out zero political stories or ads. It’ll stay this way.

  • “Campaign” For Us: If you enjoy reading our newsletter every weekday morning, could we ask you to “campaign” for us by referring your friends to KC Daily? To sweeten the deal, the first reader to reach five confirmed referrals starting today (10/20) will win a $50 gift card to a local restaurant of your choice.

To refer your friends, simply send out your unique referral code below. Copy and paste it in an email, on social media, through text, in a workspace, etc. When your friends sign up through your link and confirm their email address, we’ll see it on our end. Good luck!

Your unique referral link: {{subscriber_refer_url}}

P.S. Your referrals must opt in to receiving KC Daily after they’ve signed up. It’ll come immediately via email. This helps prevent racking up your count with fake accounts. (AKA cheating 😉)

New All-Abilities Park Opens to the Public in Overland Park

Blue Valley Recreation

Brody Rea’s Boundless Playground, an all-inclusive playground designed for kids of all abilities, is now open at the Blue Valley Rec Sports Complex.

  • No Sidelines: Located by Fields 3-4 at 8851 W. 137th St., the fully fenced playground features inclusive swings, wheelchair-friendly surfacing, sensory music stations, and quiet retreat areas for kids who need a break. Shaded spots and accessible restrooms with adult changing tables make it easy for the whole family to stay a while.

  • Play Without Limits: The playground is named for Brody Rea, whose love of movement helped inspire the project. It was built through a partnership with Variety KC, Cunningham Recreation, and the Michael & Brandy Rea Family Foundation. Instead of a separate accessible area, inclusive features run throughout, so kids can play right alongside their siblings and friends.

The playground is open daily from dawn to dusk, weather permitting. Learn more HERE.
