Joe’s Next Door Opens is Officially Open in KCK
Joe's Next Door officially opened this past weekend in Kansas City, Kansas, directly across from the iconic original gas station location.
Joe the Second: Joe's Next Door was created with the surrounding neighborhood in mind: a faster, more casual dining experience with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu keeps fan-favorite staples like the Z-Man and seasoned fries while adding a more diverse spread of food and cocktails, built for date nights around the fire pit as much as a quick lunch.
Neighborhood Hangout: Unlike the original Joe's locations across Mission Road, Joe's Next Door is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner — including Sundays. With World Cup visitors expected to pack the iconic gas station all summer, this new location gives KC locals their own spot to hang out without the wait.
Joe’s Next Door is located at 500 County Line Rd. At this time, they are not offering online ordering or takeout and are dine-in only, with no reservations.

Development
New Outdoor Roller Rink Coming to 18th and Vine
Kansas City broke ground last week on a new 16,000-square-foot outdoor roller skating rink at Blues Park near 18th and Vine.
Lace ‘em Up: The $1.7 million project is a part of the city's "Revive the Vine" initiative, and also includes new restrooms that were completed last summer. The rink aims to bring “boardwalk culture” to the area, mimicking coastal boardwalks in cities like Los Angeles.
Fresh Off the Vine: Revive the Vine includes a variety of other projects in the area, including a Jazz District parking garage (now open), 18th Street Pedestrian Mall opened yesterday), The Parker apartments, and more.
The roller skating rink is expected to open this August.

Athleisure Explosion: Vuori joins a wave of lifestyle and activewear brands planting flags in the metro. ALO Yoga, which just opened on the Country Club Plaza, is also planning a fall opening at Town Center Plaza. Both brands cater to the premium end of the athleisure market and have been expanding into Midwest markets.
