🎡 Parkville Days brings three days of family-friendly fun to English Landing Park. Live music, food & drink, vendors, parade, helicopter rides, and more!
🃏 Collect-A-Con, the nation’s largest trading card, anime, and pop culture convention takes over the Kansas City Convetion Center on Saturday and Sunday.
🪕 The 36th Annual Roots Festival is happening in downtown Paola on Friday and Saturday, featuring live music, games, and the East Central State Championship BBQ Cookoff.

🎶 The Goo Goo Dolls take the stage at Starlight with special guest Dashboard Confessional tonight at 7:30pm.
🏈 The Chiefs welcome the Chicago Bears to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium tonight at 7:20pm for the final preseason game of 2025.
🎧 Head to the Electric Park Garden Bar at J. Rieger & Co. from 7-9pm for Hot Vinyl Nights as Manor Records sets the vibe with vintage vinyl paired with summer cocktails.
🍷 The Kansas City Zoo & Aqaurium hosts Wine Walk for Wildlife beginning at 5:30pm. Stroll the topside of the zoo while enjoying live music, food, and 40+ types of wine.

🎺 The Folly Theater hosts Spotlight: Charlie Parker featuring Lonnie McFadden in partnership with KC Jazz ALIVE at 7pm.
🚙 The Westport Wheels Car Show is happening from 11am-3pm, with cars lined up along Pennsylvania Avenue from Westport Road to 42nd Street.

KCTV5 Broadcast Tower to Be Relit on September 18th
The Kansas City skyline will soon get get a red upgrade. The KCTV5 broadcast tower will be relit on September 18th.
Light It Up: A special lighting ceremony will take place on the 18th to relight the tower with 96 new state-of-the-art LED lights in partnership with Mayor Quinton Lucas’ ‘Illuminate KC’ initiative. The tower will feature smart lighting controls, similar to other landmarks throughout downtown Kansas City like Union Station.
Red Dawn: The 1,052-foot tower was completed in 1956 at 125 E 31st St., towering over Kansas City as one of the highest broadcast towers in the country. The tower went dark in 2004 due to infrastructure and maintenance challenges, but will relight as a sign of the “city’s pride and resilience” ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
