Picture This: A Royals Ballpark in Washington Square Park

DirtbikeStepdad/Reddit

With the news that the Royals are eyeing building a new ballpark in Washington Square Park in the Crossroads, Royals fans are envisioning what a stadium could look like.

  • Photoshop Skills: Reddit user DirtbikeStepdad put their Photoshop skills to the test by placing other MLB stadiums on top of Washington Square Park. See the photos of Camden Yards, Oracle Park, PNC Park, and Coors Field.

  • Downtown Dreamin’: The proposed ballpark would sit between Main Street and Grand Boulevard, just next door to Union Station and Crown Center, with direct access to the KC Streetcar. The park is only 10 acres, so fitting a ballpark into the space would require some creativity.

No official decision has been made, and the Royals are still actively exploring their options.
