Green Lady Lounge is Targeting a December 1st Reopening

Roughly six months after a fire, The Green Lady Lounge is aiming to reopen as early as December 1st in the Crossroads.

Pardon the Mess: The iconic jazz lounge suffered extensive damage after a rooftop HVAC fire on May 31st. The initial hope was to reopen before the World Cup in June, but now the hope is to be open by December 1st, according to a social media post from the Green Lady Lounge team.
Return of the Jazz: Over the period of the closure, its sister club next door, The Black Dolphin, offered the same menu and live jazz 7 days a week. Now (hopefully) we can soon return to the dark & moody, candle-lit jazz lounge before Christmas!

The Green Lady Lounge is located at 1809 Grand Blvd in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District.

Autumn Activities: Explore Native American Kanza history, visit a one-room schoolhouse, go mining for gemstones, or wander a nature trail. Other favorite outdoor activities include fishing in the pond or riding the pedal tractors track. Finish your day by taking a stroll through Main Street with an ice cream cone!

🏨 Hollywood Hotel: On Friday, developers broke ground on a 140-room Marriott Tribute Portfolio boutique hotel at the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway. The hotel is expected to open in 2028.
🏢 New Owners: In partnership with Crain Company, Kansas City’s Molzer Development recently completed the sale of the Messenger Coffee Co. building at 1624 Grand Blvd. in the Crossroads.
