Drink: Sitting directly across from the Origin Hotel, Two Birds, One Stone will be a beautifully designed 8,200 square-foot beer garden.

And if almost two straight weeks of college basketball doesn’t satisfy your sports craving, the NCAA Division 1 Wrestling Championships are next up at the T-Mobile Center March 21-23.
Transportation
Study Recommends Express Bus Service to KCI

Kansas City International Airport
A recent study completed in collaboration with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and Mid-America Regional Council recommended an express bus service to be added to KCI.
Supply and Demand: With the uptick in travelers utilizing the new KCI, the study pointed to two initial “corridors”: downtown Kansas City, MO, and Johnson County, KS. The routes would increase accessibility to the airport, which resides roughly 30 minutes north of downtown KCMO.
The Long Haul: Planners estimate that the route would need to operate 18 hours per day, 7 days per week. They also estimated a price tag of $51M for a high-demand route that would leave from Union Station, with routes leaving from Johnson County having an even higher price tag.
The entirety of the study and action plan can be read here.
Industry
A New Tax Incentive to Bring More Filmmaking Projects to Missouri

A recent tax incentive dubbed the Show Mo Act was signed by Missouri Governor Mike Parson and aims to bring more filmmaking to the state.
Show Me The Money: The newly-reinstated tax incentive was signed back in July, and offers up to $16M to production companies that film in Missouri. Local filmmakers like Chris Knitter of Method KC, are hopeful that this brings more production to Kansas City and the state as a whole.
No More Missing Out: There have been multiple movies/shows that have been tied to Missouri, but filmed elsewhere due to the lack of incentives. Movies like Tulsa King and Guardians of the Galaxy, and shows such as The Last of Us and Ozark just to name a few.
Here’s to (hopefully) seeing our houses on TV someday!
