No World Cup action in KC this weekend, but plenty of other sports action (and more) happening across the metro:

Opening
Slick City Action Park Opens in Overland Park Tomorrow
The wait is over. Slick City Action Park opens its doors in Overland Park tomorrow, July 18th, at 10am.
The Wait is Over: Since announcing that Slick City would be coming to the KC metro in June of 2025, we’ve fielded more questions on an opening date than maybe anything else. Now, those questions have been answered. The indoor action park built around giant slides, climbing gyms, play areas, sport air courts, and go-karts is finally here!
Slide Through: All guests entering the park (participants and spectators) must have a signed waiver on file. Big slides are for ages 4 and up. Kids 3 and under can enjoy the junior play area. Time slots may sell out opening weekend, so buy tickets in advance. Birthday party bookings open August 1st.
Slick City Action Park is located at 11401 Metcalf Ave. Get your tickets HERE.

Remaining where it was at Liberty Memorial was the clear favorite, but here were some of the “somewhere else” responses we found interesting:
CPKC Stadium/Riverfront
Barney Allis Plaza
Roy Blunt Luminary Park
Nelson-Atkins Museum/Theis Park
If anyone has access to Mayor Q or the other local powers that be, send them this list.
