CPKC Stadium to Host Snowflake Soirée This Weekend
CPKC Stadium is set to host the Snowflake Soirée holiday pop-up this weekend, December 21-22!
Party at the Pitch: The Snowflake Soirée is presented by the Riverfront Collective, the stadium’s culinary partnership between Levy Associates and James Beard Award-winning chefs Megan and Colby Garrelts. The pop-up will feature a holiday-themed curated menu, a complimentary sparkling beverage, and a cash bar.
Snowed In: The two-night-only event is limited to 200 guests per night, with a limited number of tickets still available. Tickets are $50, and the deadline to purchase for Saturday (12/21) is TODAY and the deadline for Sunday (12/22) is tomorrow. Parking at CPKC Stadium is free!

Carl’s Jr. Debuts Chiefs Burger…in Mexico.
Fast food chain Carl’s Jr. has released a limited edition Chiefs Burger, but you’ll have to head south of the border to try it.
Global Superstars, Global Tastes: Carl’s Jr. launched the burger in November at its 400 branches across Mexico, citing global superstars like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift as inspiration for choosing the Chiefs. The creation is available through January 15th, 2025.
Hamburgeusa: The Chiefs Burger is prepared with a grilled beef patty, pepperjack cheese, BBQ sauce, tomato, lettuce, bacon, and a red bun with a light jalapeño flavor. Kansas City Star reported Yvette Walker recently traveled to Mexico and tried the burger. See what she had to say!

Patrick Mahomes’ Cleats Up for Auction to Support Charity
A pair of Patrick Mahomes’ game-worn cleats are up for auction to support his charity.
Cleats with Cause: The auction is a part of the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats initiative, in which players wear custom-made cleats to demonstrate their support for specific causes. The shoes are then auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the charity of the athlete’s choosing.
Pat’s Kicks: Mahomes’ cleats will be auctioned off to support 15 and FARE, an initiative between his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation and FARE (food allergy research and education). Bidding opened on December 10th and remains open through February 11th.

Development
A New Mixed-Use Development Coming Soon to South Overland Park
A mixed-use development featuring a multi-family residence and retail marketplace is being planned for 135th and Antioch in Overland Park.
Coming Soon: The Oslo Marketplace development is a six-building retail center at the former Mission Gardens Nursery site. According to the KCBJ, two tenants are already in place: Chase Bank and 7 Brew. Overland Park city officials will review the proposal in January.
Live + Work: Directly south of the planned retail center is The Oslo, a 413-unit multifamily apartment complex. The complex will feature Scandinavian-themed architecture, a spa, a yoga studio, a golf simulator, and a sound studio. It is expected to be completed in late 2025.
