The Chiefs Want Your Feedback on a New Stadium/Renovations to Arrowhead

Manica Architecture

The Kansas City Chiefs have opened two public surveys to get fans’ feedback on building a new stadium or renovating Arrowhead Stadium.

  • Penny for your Thoughts: The seemingly never-ending saga of new stadiums in Kansas City rages on. Now the Chiefs organization is seeking feedback on a potential $800 million renovation to Arrowhead Stadium vs. an entirely new stadium.

  • Build or Renovate: Renderings of a potential new stadium were released in May of 2024, bringing mixed reactions from the Kansas City community. The surveys discussed implementing a personal seat license (PSL) to help pay for the construction of a new stadium.

Both surveys will close by the end of the day on Friday (1/17). Fill them out HERE.

The Shops of Prairie Village to Undergo New Phase of Redevelopment

The Shops of Prairie Village

The Shops of Prairie Village hosted a “wall-breaking” ceremony earlier this week to kick off a new phase of redevelopment.

  • Move Over Macy: The redevelopment centers around the former Macy’s building at the intersection of W 71st and Mission. The three-story building will be completely reimagined with a Hen House Market occupying the first floor and a variety of retailers on the second floor. The third floor will be demolished.

  • Village People: The Shops of Prairie Village is a community hotspot with 35 shops and 14 restaurants and welcomes 2.5 million visitors each year. Other upgrades to the center include an upgraded courtyard, enhanced landscaping, and improved pedestrian connectivity.
