Online travel publication Condé Nast Traveler recently released its list of the top luxury hotels in Kansas City, and six local hotels made the cut. Here they are:

KC Live! Unveils 2026 Hot Country Nights Lineup
Hot Country Nights
One of Kansas City’s favorite summer traditions is returning soon, with KC Live! releasing the 2026 Coors Light Hot Country Nights lineup late last week.
Who’s On Stage: This summer’s concert series kicks off on Thursday, May 21st with the Eli Young Band. There are 12 concerts scheduled throughout the summer, featuring artists like Billy Currington, Dylan Scott, The Band Perry, and more. Check out the full lineup!
Hot Tradition: This is the 17th summer that Hot Country Nights have taken the stage at KC Live! inside the Power & Light District. This year brings an all-new lineup and a new naming sponsor in Coors Light. All shows are 18+ for GA areas and VIP areas are 21+.

💰 Google’s Acres: Tech giant Google has purchased 430 acres of land north of the Kansas City International Airport as a part of a potential $100 billion investment.
🛒 Head North, Joe: A group of Northland residents are advocating for a Trader Joe’s to come north of the river. There are currently two locations in the KC metro (Ward Parkway, Leawood) and a third planned for Merriam.
🏟️ Designing Champions: Kansas City-based sports architecture firm Manica released renderings of a new state-of-the-art arena for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Manica is one of two firms that was named as a finalist to design the upcoming Chiefs stadium in KCK.
