The stadium saga continues. The Royals confirmed this weekend that they are exploring the option of moving across State Line to Kansas.

Sunflower Shuffle: Lawmakers in Kansas are considering a STAR (sales tax and revenue) Bond package that would reportedly fund $1.5 billion of the $2 billion development plan. The heavy recruitment has been in the works since the stadium sales tax in Jackson County failed in April.
A Royal Twofer?: This is the first time the Royals have been vocal about any sort of future plans following the failed vote in Jackson County. The Chiefs have already expressed interest in exploring a move to Kansas.

Kansas City Museum

The official start to summer is right around the corner, and what better way to kick it off than with Summer Concerts at the Kansas City Museum!

Summer Singin’ - This Friday kicks off Summer Concerts on the East Lawn of the Kansas City Museum. The series takes place on second Fridays from June through September, from 7-9 pm. This Friday features music by Brass Rewind.
Fun in the Sun - Bringing picnics/blankets/lawn chairs is encouraged, and the event is dog-friendly. The Museum’s soda fountain, Elixir, will be serving beer, wine, and select cocktails (no outside alcohol is permitted).

Tickets are $7 and children 12 & under are FREE. See you there!

Aixois

The Crestwood Shop’s Aixois Bistro is expanding to Kansas, with plans to open a new restaurant in Town Center very soon!

French Connection: Aixois has called Brookside home since 2001, and now owners Emmanuel and Megan Langlade are expanding their French bistro to Town Center in Leawood. Don’t worry…the Brookside location will remain open!
Best of the Brunch: The new space promises to be warm and inviting; with sophisticated wood accents, a wrap-around bar, and a wine cellar. As one of our favorite brunches in Kansas City, we can’t wait to visit!

Aixois has tentative plans to host a soft opening this week, with a grand opening announcement soon to follow!

The Kansas City Zoo has a treat for escape room fans in Locked Zoo: Amazing Apes.

Amazing Apes: Locked Zoo is an interactive event that challenges you and your team to explore select areas of the Zoo to search for clues and solve puzzles about apes and conservation. Teams can consist of 1-6 people.
Amazing Escapes: The event will take place on Saturday, June 22nd from 5-9 pm. Food and drink will be available, and the event will take place zoo-wide. Participants must be 14+.
