Kiyoshi Omakase is Bringing Live Sushi Performance to Overland Park
Kiyoshi Omakase is coming soon to downtown Overland Park, The First and only dedicated omakase experience in the state of Kansas.
Dinner and a Show: Kiyoshi is an intimate, chef-driven omakase experience where guests are seated directly at the counter to watch every step of the meal's preparation live: from slicing premium fish sourced from Tokyo's Toyosu Market to torch-searing wagyu and plating each course by hand. Each 8-person seating features 14 courses, with no two visits the same.
Sunflower Sushi: The restaurant opens for reservations this Friday (4/3), and will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 10pm and Friday through Sunday from noon to 3pm and 5 to 10pm. The omakase experience is $98 per person.

Events
Today is Opening Day at the K!
The Kansas City Royals kick off the 2026 home season today at Kauffman Stadium against the Minnesota Twins, with the first pitch scheduled for 3:10pm.
Game Day Details: Parking lots open at 9am and stadium gates open at noon. Be in your seats by 2:30pm for Opening Day Ceremonies, which will include team introductions, a Giant Flag held by airmen from Whiteman Air Force Base, the National Anthem performed by America's Got Talent Season 20 quarterfinalists CitiLimitz, and an A-10 flyover from Whiteman Air Force Base.
Back-to-Back Baseball: Opening Day is just the start. The Royals will host an Opening Series at The K to follow throughout the week. And in case you missed it, the 9-9-9 Challenge (nine mini beers, nine mini hot dogs, nine innings) is available this season at Double Dip Hoagies in Section 247.
We had fun with the wager we made with ourselves for the Current opener, so we’re running it back with the Royals. If the Royals score 2+ runs in today’s game, KC Daily Dine Cards will be 50% off for 24 hours tomorrow!
Cheering for a Bobby Witt Jr. home run for a chance to support great local restaurants? Talk about a win-win!
